I just love texture. It is a language that speaks to me.Texture creates mood, emotion, and luster in my artwork.

I want to create light and movement with the texture of the paint. As I add layers and layers of color, I am creating an essence that helps me to tell my story. Layers of thought and emotion go into the soul of my stories.

 

 

I love the way acrylic paint creates impressions and marks. The way color overlays to form rivers, valleys, and bridges in the faraway lands of my imagination.

 

I love the subtle variety of colors as the eye blends them into seeing what it wants to see. But when you look up close you are invited into another world. A world that I get lost in as I work. Something happens for me when I go into this liminal space. A place where I can connect with the palpable senses of story in a visual form.
