Art Journaling as Inquiry
Art journaling is a healing form of visual meditation and inquiry in which one can hold space for feelings, thoughts, and experiences by engaging in a practice of sitting down with the pages.
In visual form, we play, move paint, paste, collage, scribble, and draw. Art Journaling is a rule free zone for you to discover, explore, and inquire. Ps… It’s also really fun!!
In this class we will explore the basics of Art Journaling as a format of self inquiry, listening to the internal urges, and playing on the pages. The class will start with a demonstration of some basics, hints on how to get started, as well as examples of various art journaling techniques.
The class will provide gentle support and encouragement for you to free your mind from ‘thinking’ and engage in play, making mistakes, and trusting yourself to do it your own way.
Materials of blank pages will be provided along with a variety of acrylic paints, inks, collage material, and drawing tools.
